Product Description
The Broadcom BCM57502 is a single-chip 50GbE Ethernet controller from the NetXtreme-E family, sized for OEM integration onto lower-tier PCIe adapter cards, OCP 3.0 NICs, and server LOM designs that do not need full 100G or 200G bandwidth. The controller connects to the host over a PCIe Gen4 x8 interface, and its MAC/PCS pipeline can be configured as a single 50GbE port or split into dual 25GbE ports to match a given board layout. Like its larger BCM57504 and BCM57508 siblings, it integrates a programmable TruFlow packet-processing pipeline for line-rate virtual-switch offload and a hardware RoCEv2 engine for RDMA-class latency in storage and virtualization fabrics. Broadcom's TruManage stack simplifies driver-level and out-of-band manageability once the chip is integrated onto a board. As bare silicon, the BCM57502 targets hardware design engineers building cost-optimized 25/50G NIC and LOM boards rather than end users buying a finished adapter.
